I am Fear
I am the thing that people dread.
In their dreams I appear,
To feed on the weak,
I take forms of their worst nightmares.
This is where it all began.
My tale has grown,
People have prayed,
For this horror to end,
But even in defeat I shall return,
For my legend still lives on.
In the shadows I watch,
And wait to strike with no warning.
Many warriors have faced me,
With their last breath,
They say that I am death.
Soon we shall become one again.
Scream all you want but know this,
My face will be the only thing you will see.
I am Anger
My hatred for all life is strong.
I see them fight each other for wealth and power,
It sickens me knowing these life forms,
Once lived in paradise without a care in the world.
Victims of war have strong desire to seek vengeance,
In order to punish the person responsible for the lives,
That was lost in the battlefield by greedy beings.
I could care less since everyone, in my eyes, is the enemy
They will all be killed by my bare hands.
They would all be dead right now, if I had my way
But I must wait in the shadows until the time is right
I watch them destroy and hate each other
When the darkest day arrives, everything will be cons
Falling;
crashing;
Rome is
burning-
I don’t know
why this is
happening.
Who’s to blame
for pain and
suffering?
Which of us
benefits
from theft and
murdering?
I’m asking
“Cui bono?”
I don’t know
which of us
benefits
when our Rome
is falling.
Alaric
had found his
true calling-
destruction
of man and
man’s meaning.
Fall of Rome,
Fall of Man,
sin finds home
where it can.
A Christian
empire
in virtue,
but not fact.
We tend to
fuel the fire
and argue,
without tact.
Our vices
have prices,
our nations
have demons.
We’re senseless
with reasons
for endless
new legions.
I don’t know
why this
Hey red snake, slip down my arm -
You're tainted.
Stain my wrists & the floor;
I'm waiting...
Not for long, my blood is warm -
Intoxicated.
It hits me hard, the pleasure starts...
But now it's fading.
Go away!
My mind is weak, my hands are raw.
I'm begging, please! You've got me on my knees.
You're in my head twisting threads
I'm stuck inside your web.
Trapped like a fly, just waiting for death.
Why did you come back?
Wont you leave me alone!
My porcelain composure is cracking under your willpower of stone.
The demon in my heart has reawakened with a jolt -
Your almighty hand just won't let go.
Breathe.
I'm fighting for control.

Prepared to Burn
He cowers before me, I can’t help but smile
For almost twenty years he has known me
And he had gloried in my pain, drank well on my tears
But now he no longer looks upon me with hate
Now it’s his turn to be afraid
I am stronger now, stronger than him
Ready to die and prepared to burn?
He had his fun last year, so much so he almost won
But in my countless defeats at his hands he gave me one victory
And with that everything he had, all my guilt and pain
The blended remains of my heart, turned to ash in his hands
Now he flees from the light of the fire, but not me
I am stronger now, stronger than him
Ready to die an
It Came From The Dark:
Amongst the ashes, swirling from the darkness of the pit,
Emerged a hand, dragging a battered body across the rocks.
Blood leaked from the wounds so callously self-inflicted,
And teeth ground with a focused determination and seething anger.
It cared not for the warm rubies - staining the jagged rocks,
It cared not for the sensation of pain...
All that it remembered was a dream, An obsession -
One that drove it ever higher; ignoring all else!
Eventually it emerged from this shadowy hole, this dreary depth,
And in that moment, it learned of the truth.
For this creature, denied sunlight and warmth -
was me...
Have you found the edge of the world yet?
They say it's just a myth,
But I go there all the time
To sit and think, and stare into space,
And wonder at my relevance.
Have you found the edge of the world yet?
It's really not far off.
Go left on Main and down towards Broadway;
I'm sure you'll spot it right away.
Don't worry 'cause I'll wait for you.
Have you found the edge of the world yet?
It's where you and I collide.
And I know you haven't been there yet,
But I'll be waiting for you
Like you're waiting for me.
